Seriously outdated. So, Christmas is just around the corner.. and people are already wishing each other. What I don't get is.. Why has this Holy day of the Christians spread towards - US, the typical non-Christians Chinese with eyes like a line? *I'm not discriminating anyone here aight.. just a little joke to cheer this boring post up* Do you guys really know the meaning of CHRISTMAS? Do you? do you? DO YOU? I'm guessing, 90% of you all doesn't know. AND please don't click on almighty-Wikipedia instantly now. =__= As I've mentioned, it is the HOLY day of the Christians, simply because, they celebrate it as the birth of Jesus. Although it is not the exact date. (Yes, I got my source from Wikipedia too, but mind you I know it! I just don't wanna get the facts wrong) NOW, DID YOU know that?? I bet my ass off, you don't (unless you are a Christian reading this aight..) Okay, there's a lot of information on Wiki, but let's keep it simple and easy. It says, Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus. .period. And then, comes the magic of Christmas ---- Santa Clause! My guess is, Christmas is popularized because of this RED, JOLLY, OLD, man -- Santa Clause! I myself only knew the real meaning of Christmas till I got into Sunday School. After Mr. Santa, comes the magnificent idea of gift exchanging. *fast forwarding* AND THEN, the brilliant economists kicked in.. and introduced CHRISTMAS SALES! So, according to Microeconomics(ECO151), humans, always want more! Consumer Theory kicks in.. and explains the shift in the budget line and utility line when prices for one item goes down. OR something like that. And so.. now CHRISTMAS = CHRISTMAS SALES = BUY BUY BUY = whole meaning of Christmas, GONE Oh, which reminds me... I gave yC a tie for his Christmas present.. =.= And I'm Today's message: I don't really know.. do you? =P
